A Franklin Regional Transit Authority bus driver has tested positive for the COVID 19 virus. FRTA General Manager Molly Morin says there is no evidence the virus has spread within the agency’s offices or buses.
“The individual who tested positive hasn’t worked a shift within a week,” Morin said. “Prior to that, the employee hadn’t been in contact with other employees, and our vehicles are disinfected daily and as often as possible.”
Agency employees were notified of the situation via an internal memo circulated Friday. The employee in question is from Springfield. Morin said there are no plans for further testing of any FRTA employees.
