(Ashfield, MA) In order to meet local and state energy goals, the town of Ashfield has had the UMass Clean Energy Extension produce a solar action plan to guide the increasing solar adoption in town. In a survey to the community, more than half of Ashfield residents are in favor of using less than 10% of undeveloped town land for solar, which is compatible with supporting regional and state energy goals. There will be public forum to discuss the solar action plan on Monday November 6th at 7 p.m. in the Town Hall, comments and questions can be sent to energy@ashfield.org
