(Greenfield, MA) Election Day is tomorrow for Greenfield residents who will be deciding on the next Mayor, along with members of the school committee, and city council.
Running for Mayor, City Councilor Virginia “Ginny” Desorgher has been endorsed by local unions and residents with a campaign that emphasizes her support Greenfield schools, improving infrastructure, responding to the need for housing, among other goals. The current Mayor Roxann Wedegartner has received endorsements from Senator Ed Markey and Governor Maura Healey with a campaign that highlights the relationship the Mayor has garnered to bring support into the city for projects such as increasing housing, expanding internet access, and upgrading municipal facilities.
Polling will take place at Greenfield High School from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Find more information on the election here.
