(Colrain, MA) The town of Colrain may struggle with snow and ice removal this winter. The town has been seeking a fourth Highway Department employee with no applicants, so the town came up with an alternate plan to use the funds that would have paid for the employee, to instead contract and snow and ice removal service for this winter until an additional employee could be secured next year. Residents voted down this plan at Tuesday’s Special Town Meeting.
