(Northfield, MA) Following the November 14th informational session of the Six Town Regionalization Planning Board where cost estimates were discussed as part of a six town school district merger, Pioneer School Committee took up the topic for discussion at their recent meeting. Members shared their considerations of the merger including the differences in classroom composition as Pioneer uses a heterogenous grouping method keeping all students together whereas Gill-Montague uses a traditional method, while others were uncertain if Pioneers financial health would benefit from a merger.
