(Guilford, VT) On Monday afternoon a fire broke out in a home at 2518 Stage Road in Guilford, Vermont by the covered bridge over the Green River. Neighbors attempted to use snow to stop the fire as water had been shut off to the building, which was unoccupied at the time of the fire. The cause of the fire is still under investigation and no injuries have been reported. Crews from Bernardston and Colrain responded for mutual aid.
