$25 Million In ARPA Funds To Remove 8 Aging Dams

(Pittsfield, MA) Following heavy rains this past summer, the Healey-Driscoll Administration has directed $25 million in ARPA funds go to removing eight aging dams in the state to improve safety for communities and environmental conditions. Thousand Acre Reservoir Dam in Athol is one of the dams to receive funding for removal, in addition to the large project of removing the high-hazard Bel Air Dam in Pittsfield.
