Legislators Lobby For More Rural Highway Department Funding

(Franklin County, MA) Franklin County municipal highway departments will be seeing more state funding, as the Healey-Driscoll Administration announced $100 million from the Fair Share Funds will be used for Chapter 90 allocations. The Fair Share referendum, also referred to as the ‘millionaires tax” can be used for transportation and education and Senator Jo Comerford and Representative Natalie Blais fought to help rural towns get their fair share.
