(Monroe, MA) Many area fire departments provided mutual aid at a three alarm structure fire at 3 Depot Street in Monroe yesterday. The owner and sole occupant of the building called in the fire, that started after a cardboard box was left on the stove, just after 11 a.m. Crews worked for multiple hours to get the fire under control. Responding agencies included Greenfield, Shelburne, Colrain, Monroe, and North Adams Fire Departments, along with several other local agencies and the Massachusetts Fire Services.
