(Boston, MA) An internal investigation in the Massachusetts State Police found that four CDL – Commercial Driver Licensing – drivers received unsanctioned condensed training and obtained their CDL licenses outside of the comprehensive testing process. The internal investigation began at the end of 2022 after the state police became aware of a federal investigation into the four members of the CDL unit, two current and two former troopers,  and since then the state police have taken several steps to enforce regulations such as requiring body cameras for CDL exams.
