Enrollment Up For Second Semester At GCC

(Greenfield, MA) Enrollment has grown for the second straight semester at Greenfield Community College after a decade long decline. The 2024 spring semester has seen a 13% increase over the previous year and a 13% increase in the course load each student is taking. While the school is working to improve schedules, creating more support services, and a new application process, the largest factor contributing to the increase in enrollment is the state’s free community college programs, MassReconnect launched in August of 2023.
