(Colrain, MA) Eight historical busts housed in the Griswold Memorial Library have become a topic of conversation in Colrain after it was proposed to sell the figures and reinvest into the library’s renovation. The Board of Trustees made a statement Monday explaining the library’s inability to sufficiently maintain them as they are outside of the collection scope and purview, and the political figures causing controversy in what the library intends to be an inclusive and welcoming space.
