(Leverett, MA) The town of Leverett is celebrating their 250th birthday this year. The town was founded on March 5th in 1774 and to honor the occasion the 250th committee has three upcoming events. On the town’s official birthday, March 5th, will be the launch of the pictorial postmark that was designed by Leverett resident Lori Lynn Hoffer, at the post office. A pancake breakfast sponsored by the Leverett Firefighters Association will be held prior to the postmark launch on March 2nd and a birthday party will be held March 9th at Town Hall.
