Local Activists Calling For Greenfield City Council To Pass Cease-Fire Resolution

(Greenfield, MA) As municipalities across the country pass resolutions to call for permanent cease-fire in Gaza, local activist groups are preparing to bring one to Greenfield City Council next month. A petition calling for the council to pass a cease-fire resolution has been launched by Molly Merrett, with the organizations Western Mass Showing Up for Racial Justice, Jewish Voice for Peace Western Mass and Massachusetts Peace Action. Merrett writes in the petition that local government passing a resolution would put pressure on state and federal lawmakers to call for a cease-fire.
