Western MA Fire Chiefs Gather To Urge Residents To Check Smoke Alarms

EAST LONGMEADOW,MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — Western Mass Fire Chiefs came together to send an urgent message about smoke and carbon monoxide alarms. Almost half of the 45 residential fire deaths in Massachusetts took place in March and April last year, many of which did not have working smoke alarms. Fire Chiefs urged residents to ensure their smoke and carbon monoxide alarms are working properly and have been made after February 2014.
