Information Session Announcement
The Greenfield, Mass Police Departmenteld, Montague Police Departmente, Deerfield Police Department, Massachusetts, Sunderland Police Department, G.C.C. Police Department, and the Franklin County Sheriffs Department are proud to announce the official start of the Franklin County Police Cadet Program in coordination with the Northeast Regional Law Enforcement Educational Association (NEERLEA).
The Franklin County Police Cadet Program is open to 13 to 21-year-olds who are in good standing within their community and are interested in the field of criminal justice.
Police Cadets will attend weekly meetings at Greenfield Community College on Wednesdays from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM. During the weekly meeting, members will be instructed by Police Officers and Deputy Sheriffs on topics related to criminal justice, personal growth, and community service.
Police Cadets will participate in physical fitness training, drill and ceremony, community events, law enforcement functions, and more. We will take field trips to law enforcement agencies and have officers from other agencies speak with the program.
Police Cadets will have opportunities to attend NERLEEA events, which include skills development, skill competitions, and the week-long NERLEEA Police Academy.

March 14, 2024, at Frontier Regional High School
March 19, 2024, at Mohawk Trail Regional High School
March 21, 2024, at Franklin County Technical High School
