Deerfield River Survey For National Wild And Scenic River Designation

DEERFIELD, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — The Deerfield River may become a National Wild and Scenic River after Senator Ed Markey wrote the National Park Service in support of studying the river and its tributaries to determine eligibility for the designation. The National Park Service is expected to complete the reconnaissance survey in fiscal year 2025.
