DEERFIELD, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — Deerfield residents have gathered over 200 signatures in a petition letter to MassDOT on the dangerousness of the intersection between Route 5 & 10, North Main Street, and Mill Village Road. They have been working with the Deerfield Town Planner, Selectboard, Chief of Police, Representative Natalie Blais and Senator Jo Comerford to improve safety in the area.
Concerns have been raised about the intersection after multiple accidents have occurred in recent years. Signatures for the petition were gathered by residents Wayne Manley and Patricia Taylor on a letter for MassDOT regarding the safety of the intersection.
