(undated) — Massachusetts cities and towns CAN order residents to wear masks or face coverings in public. That from State Attorney General Maura Healey, who this week issued a clarification to a previous ruling regarding the power of cities and towns to mandate the use of masks. Healey now says mask use can be ordered, provided the directive comes from the community’s board of health. Healey’s previous ruling indicated that mask orders could only be advisory in nature.
