Shutesbury residents to vote on light pollution bylaw, school budget

SHUTESBURY, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — The Shutesbury Local Election and Annual Town Meeting are scheduled for April 27th at the Shutesbury Elementary School. On the Town Meeting warrant are 30 articles including a 6% increase for the regional school budget, less than the 8.2% increase that was recommended by the school committee. Another article seeks to regulate large-scale battery storage and a zoning bylaw proposal to minimize light pollution.

Of the fourteen candidates on the ballot for the fifteen town offices up for election this year, ten are running for re-election. The last day to register to vote in the election was April 17th.
