FRANKLIN COUNTY, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — The Massachusetts Department of Public Health has published their 2024 Fish Consumption Advisories for the Connecticut and Millers Rivers. In the Connecticut, fish have been found contaminated with PCBs and PFAS, and the American Eel, Channel Catfish, White Catfish, and Yellow Perch should not be eaten. In the Millers, American Eel and Brown Trout should not be eaten. All other species should be limited to 2 meals per month according to the guidelines.
