BERNARDSTON, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — Just before 10 am Thursday morning Bernardston fire and police units responded to reports of a large load truck on fire inside a residence in the area of West Mountain Road and Eden Trail. It was later determined that a tractor trailer carrying an excavator lost its brakes, forcing the pickup truck off the road and into the residence. No one was inside the house as it was under renovations after a recent fire. The accident remains under investigation.
