GREENFIELD, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — UPDATE: The City of Greenfield has provided an update Tuesday morning in response to the drop in the city water tank levels that was discovered Saturday evening by the DPW;
“After water levels experienced some instability this weekend, the water tank levels have stabilized as of this morning. The water system is fully resorted to its normal capacity.
Once the instability was discovered, the DPW, Police and Fire Departments implemented a comprehensive search to find the source of the water level change. This was an all-hands-on-deck effort that exemplified great teamwork by the departments.
Yesterday afternoon, the staff discovered the main break off Bernadston Road near the highway onramp, which is now being remedied. We thank the community for their patience during this process.”
