NORTHFIELD, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — On Wednesday, the Northfield police department, with help from several neighboring public safety departments, searched for a young adult with special needs who had run away from home. The young adult was found after having swam across the Connecticut River and is now safe and receiving additional support.
The Erving, Benrardston, Gill, and Greenfield police departments, along with the Greenfield fire and drone units, and Massachusetts State Police K9 and Air wing units all aided in the search efforts.
