NORTHAMPTON, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — South Deerfield fire crews responded as mutual aid to a fire on Federal Street in Northampton Sunday morning. Arriving crews found heavy smoke coming from a residence and located the fire in the basement. Damage was limited to the basement and smoke throughout the home.
