WHATELY, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — The Massachusetts Department of Transportation’s Highway Safety Improvement Program has begun the first of its multi-year projects with about 50 crosswalk to be constructed in early 2025. Whately has four locations for bus stops on State Road that will see improvements or installation of sidewalk, curbing, crosswalk and signage near Muffin’s General Market, Tom’s Long Hot Dogs, Club Castaways and 9-13 State Road.
