GREENFIELD, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — At least six area emergency response units were on the scene of a three-vehicle crash at the intersection of Silver Street and Vernon Street in Greenfield Friday afternoon.

Five individuals were transported to Baystate hospitals in Greenfield and Springfield with varying degrees of injuries after a Dodge Ram pick-up truck allegedly drove through the stop sign at Country Club Road and Silver Street, colliding with a Ford pick-up truck and then causing a subsequent crash into a Honda Accord.

Greenfield Police, Fire, Colrain Ambulance, Northfield EMS, an AMR ambulance and Massachusetts State Police responded to the scene. The accident is still under investigation.
