WORCESTER, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — The Cannabis Control Commission, CCC, Chair Shannon O’Brien was fired on Monday by Treasurer Deborah Goldberg. Goldberg said in statement that O’Biren was fired due to “gross misconduct” and an inability to complete her duties.
O’Brien had previously been suspended with pay last September after allegedly making racially insensitive comments and mistreatment of colleagues. Goldberg plans to be the interim Chair while a replacement for O’Brien is found.
