Options for Mohawk, Hawlemont’s future laid out in third phase of sustainability study

BUCKLAND, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — The sustainability study for the Mohawk Trail and Hawlemont Regional school districts is beginning the third phase with the Berkshire Educational Resources research team, BERK12.

The third phase includes developing the options to tackle the issues of declining enrollment, aging infrastructure, and rising costs.

A presentation of detailed options for the school districts’ futures is set for Thursday, September 19th at 5:30 p.m. at Mohawk Trail Regional School and via Zoom.
