GREENFIELD, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — The Greenfield Public Library Foundation will be presenting Mayor Ginny Desorgher with the final check of $250,000 today in their pledge committing to donating $2 million to the new library building project. The Foundation has received over 1,000 donations from the community to meet their $2 million pledge.
The library has experienced a 264% increase in visitors since the opening of the new building, becoming a central community hub. The study and meeting spaces in the library have hosted over 2,500 people and program attendance has risen 270%.
