HOLYOKE, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — The Veterans Home at Holyoke is undergoing a transformation and was visited on Friday by Lieutenant Governor Kim Driscoll, Veterans Services Secretary Jon Santiago, and other legislative leaders.

The Veterans Home has achieved licensure as a certified nursing home and have launched a new EMR system this month.

In the state’s FY25 budget, $34.3 million has been designated for the facility, an unprecedented 14.4 precent increase over the previous year. Part of the funding will be used for the ongoing construction of the new Veterans Home in Holyoke that is expected to be completed by late 2026.
