HEATH, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — The Heath Community Hall Windows Fundraising Committee has surpassed their goal just six months after starting their campaign to raise funds for a Mass Cultural Council matching-grant and ahead of their November 1st deadline.
The town has raised over $22,500, more than $5,000 over their fundraising goal of $17,000 with the help of more than one hundred donors.
Committee members Bob Gruen, Gloria Fisher, Jan Carr and Karen Brooks wrote in an update; “The size of the donations may have varied, but not the hearts behind them. We heard from townspeople past and present. We heard from part-time residents. And perhaps, most amazingly of all, we heard from many folks who have never lived in Heath but share a love for this little hilltown!”
Once the state certifies the town’s funds, bids will go out and work will begin on the Community Hall windows, which are largely inoperable or broken.
