Rent Control Board settles on compromise for Leisure Woods Estates

ORANGE, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — The Orange Mobile Rent Control Board came to a decision on the matter of Leisure Woods Estates monthly lot fee increases by striking a compromise to satisfy both the park owners and the residents.

Park owner Glenn Gidley was seeking a 43% increase in fees, after multiple years without increases. Residents raised concerns that they would not be able to afford such an increase.

The Rent Control Board settled on a $52 increase on December 1st of this year, bringing the monthly lot fees to $450, and another $50 increase the following year, resulting in about half of the increase Gidley sought.
