GREENFIELD, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — The Greenfield DPW has made their yearly announcement of leaf disposal options, as it is a city ordinance violation to push leaves onto the tree belt or street as they can block storm drains among other hazards.
Residents can bring leaves to the transfer station free of charge, prepay $10 for a scheduled curbside pick up, or begin a compost pile on their property. For more information, visit the DPW page on the city’s website.
