ASHFIELD, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — The Ashfield Tennis Courts repair project is moving into the next phase. Demolition of the courts began October 1st and will be continuing through October 22nd, with paving tentatively planned for the 17th through 22nd. Afterwards, work on the ADA accessible path will begin.
Ashfield’s Park Commission was awarded a $96,000 PARC grant to renovate the town’s tennis courts at Belding Memorial Park, and took a vote at a Special Town Meeting in July 2024 to transfer an additional $20,000 after the bids came back higher than expected.
