NEW SALEM, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — An accident in New Salem Thursday morning left the driver entrapped after the vehicle rolled over. The accident took place on West Main Street where the vehicle rolled, taking a utility pole down in the process. The New Salem Fire Department utilized the Jaws of Life to extricate the individual who was then transported to a waiting helicopter at the Orange Airport.
Responding agencies included New Salem Fire and Police, Orange Fire EMS, Life Star, Massachusetts State Police, National Grid, and Dale’s Towing.
