BOSTON, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — Governor Healey signed long-term care legislation that will restrict the state’s estate recovery program to the federal minimum.
The policy, sponsored by Senator Jo Comerford and Representative Christine Barber, will change the state’s common practice of aggressively recovering care-related expenses by claiming family homes through forced sales.
