GREENFIELD, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — The Greenfield Public Safety Commission brought in Student Resource Officers from Turners Falls High School and Franklin County Technical School to hear their experiences as SROs at Wednesday’s meeting, a conversation that has been ongoing in the Greenfield School District.
Commissioner Ed Jarvis challenged the Greenfield School Committee to survey the district families on whether they would like to see SROs reinstated in Greenfield Schools.
The Greenfield Police Department will also be holding a meet and greet event for the public to meet local SROs and discuss their day to day responsibilities and experiences. The event will take place on Tuesday, October 29th from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the John Zon Community Center.
