WHATELY, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — The Town of Whately has been awarded $75,000 to complete the next phase of creating a new Comprehensive Master Plan. The town is partnering with the Franklin Regional Council of Governments to update the plan from its 1994 version and 2011 updates.
The first phase of the project included working with residents to develops the plan’s Goals and Objectives and a Vision Statement that will now inform the finalized and detailed Comprehensive Plan. Work on this next phase is expected to begin late 2024 or early 2025 and community feedback will continue to play a strong role in the plan making, according to town officials.
