GREENFIELD, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — Eversource announced Thursday they will be exchanging all existing electric meters with smart meters beginning mid-year 2025. The smart meters will allow customers to monitor and manage the electricity they use daily and enable notification systems for outages or high usage. It will take approximately three years to exchange all meters and they are starting with Western Massachusetts.
