BOSTON, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — President Joe Biden proclaimed November 2024 as National Veteran and Military Families Month and ahead of that announcement, the Healey-Driscoll administration announced new and expanded workforce initiatives for veterans.
The Veterans Hire Tax Credit has been expanded through the recently signed HERO Act, which supports both veterans finding meaningful employment and small, local businesses.
The Veterans Equity Dashboard was launched to show workforce outcomes, illuminating persistent workforce disparities and highlighting contributions of veterans.
According to the Executive Office of Veterans Services, the administration also launched the Veteran’s Equity Dashboard, which offers an interactive dashboard of data visualizations, as well as written analysis and key takeaways that explore topics including demographics, occupations and industries, unemployment, wages, and more specific to veterans in Massachusetts’ labor market.
