LEVERETT, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — Leverett residents will be voting on the $90,000 purchase of a new highway department truck along with three other articles at a Special Town Meeting on Tuesday November 19th at 7 p.m. in the Elementary School.
Articles two and three in the meeting warrant relate to moving funds from the Community Preservation Fund. $8,508 of funds reserved for Open Space/Recreation to “provide funds to the Friends of the North Leverett Sawmill (“FONLS”) to pay for Grave’s ironworks research” and $114,900 reserved for housing to the Leverett Affordable Housing Trust.
Residents will also be voting on a policy that maintains board, committee, and commission members right to vote on matters even when they miss an adjudicatory hearing session, under certain conditions.
