BOSTON, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — On Friday, the Healey-Driscoll Administration announced changes to the state Emergency Assistance family shelter system to lower costs and help families find permanent housing.
Beginning December 10th, families will be directed to either the Rapid Shelter Track with 30 day limits and intensive support or the Bridge Shelter Track with up to 6 months shelter stay and employment resources, according to their risks and needs. Officials say the goal is the same for both tracks, to get families into permanent housing and get them the resources they need to be successful.
