GREENFIELD, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — A cell tower is in the works for Newton Street in Greenfield and a group is organizing in opposition to the project. The group has raised over $1,000 through a GoFundMe to work with an attorney on a comprehensive legal brief to present their case against the tower, citing reasons of health, safety, property values, and aesthetics. 

The Zoning Board of Appeals, ZBA, met on November 14th with a representative from the Viridi Wireless pole project and shared some details about the project including, an independent review of the cell tower plans. The discussion was continued to their next meeting.

The ZBA will be meeting on December 12th at 6:30 p.m. to hear from both the project representatives and the opposition group.
