GREENFIELD, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — The Greenfield City Council also voted Wednesday to approve a Memorandum of Agreement between the City of Greenfield and MassCops to transfer $32,657 to the Police Salary and Wages.
During discussion on this, Councilors Terounzo and Garrett expressed concern regarding the city’s burden of funding Quinn Bill-era educational incentives and Councilor Garrett also pointed out the disparity between police salaries and teacher salaries, as both are public servants providing essential services.
