GREENFIELD, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — The citizens’ petition for regulating Accessory Dwelling Units, ADUs, was voted down at the Greenfield City Council meeting Wednesday. Councilor and Econodnic Development Committee Chair Marianne Bullock said the legal opinion she received on this petition confirmed the regulations would be in direct conflict with the Affordable Homes Act coming into state law in February. The City will wait on the state’s guidelines and then return to the matter to draft City regulations.
