Montague Selectman Nelson Will Run For Re-Election Despite Not Being On Ballot

A veteran Montague Selectboard member WILL be a candidate for re-election this year–even though he won’t be on the ballot. Incumbent Montaguer Selectman Michael Nelson says he plans to seek a third, three-year term next month, even though he will have to mount a write-in campaign to do it. Nelson was narrowly defeated at the town caucus by political newcomer and Turners Falls business owner Ashley Arthur. Residents wishing to vote for Nelson will have to write in his name on the ballot. Election Day in Montague is June 22nd.
