GREENFIELD, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — The Greenfield Community Preservation Committee held their public hearing Thursday evening on the Community Preservation Act project applications.
To receive public funding, the projects must have support from the community and housing projects appear to be heavily favored by the community this funding cycle with the exception of a multi-unit development that seeks to use a gray water collection system and several community members brought up concerns about the project.
The Committee received project requests totaling $243,000 and they have $213,000 to spend, the smallest gap in funding ability since Greenfield adopted the Community Preservation Act.
The Committee’s final funding recommendations will head to City Council for a vote.
