(Erving, PD) The Erving Police Department is urging residents to use caution during the Spring season. Several bear sightings have been reported in the area. The police department believes the bears are visiting homes looking for food. Residents are being asked to secure bird feeders and trash and to avoid attracting them to the area. Compost, dirty barbecues, and pet food will also attract bears to homes.
