MONTAGUE, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — The Montague Selectboard has settled on a finalist in the search for a new Chief of Police.
The two finalists put forward by the search committee were Brandon, Vermont’s Police Chief David Kachajian and Lieutenant Jason Haskins, currently serving in the Greenfield Police Department. Haskins pushed ahead and moved the Selectboard with his experience, connection to the community, and support from his references.
The Selectboard did note that both were strong candidates. The town will now enter into a negotiation process.
